## What Pinlyy does

- **Discovery.** With your permission, reads the dates and places attached to photos on your iPhone and suggests past trips and moments. The analysis runs on the device; no photo library is uploaded.
- **Memories.** You choose which suggestions to keep. A memory holds the photos you picked, a note, the weather that day and the exact place on the map.
- **Atlas.** A globe of every place you have kept a memory, with the app’s category stickers as pins. Visited countries colour in.
- **Atlas themes.** Five looks for the same map. Classic comes with Pinlyy; Midnight, Postcard, Terrain and Mono come with Pro.
- **Passport.** A stamp for every country with a kept memory.
- **Keepsakes.** Ticket stubs and small objects lifted out of your photos and kept beside the memory.
- **Trips.** Plan city by city, save places to a “Want to go” list, and open a Trip Brief with weather, golden hour, currency, plug type and emergency number. Add the trip to your calendar in a tap.
- **Souvenirs.** Every finished trip becomes a magnet cut from your own photos; Pro adds a ceramic edition.

## How it works

1. You give Pinlyy access to Apple Photos (all of it, or the photos you choose).
2. On the iPhone, Pinlyy reads the dates and locations attached to those photos and groups them into past trips and candidate moments. Nothing is uploaded for this step.
3. You go through the suggestions and keep or skip each one. A kept moment becomes a memory: your photos, a note, the weather that day and the place.
4. Every memory is pinned to your Atlas, a globe of everywhere you have been. Countries with a memory colour in and earn a Passport stamp.
5. For the next trip, you plan city by city, save places you want to go, and read the Trip Brief. When the trip is over, the moments you keep join the map.

## Privacy

- Discovery and photo analysis happen on the iPhone, using Apple’s Photos and Vision frameworks.
- No whole photo library is uploaded. A photo reaches Pinlyy’s servers only when you deliberately save it to a memory or keepsake, so it can sync.
- Ceramic magnets (Pro) are opt-in: you pick 1–5 images you already kept, consent, and only those images are sent to OpenAI to make the magnet.
- The website sets no cookies.

### How does Pinlyy discover moments?

With your permission, Pinlyy reads dates and available locations from Apple Photos on your iPhone and suggests local travel chapters and Moment Candidates. Photos create candidates; you decide what to keep as a Memory.

### Does Pinlyy upload my photo library?

No whole library is uploaded for discovery. Discovery and photo analysis happen on your iPhone. Photos you deliberately save to a Memory or Keepsake can sync as part of that artifact. Optional ceramic crafting sends only the selected source images to OpenAI after you consent.

### What if Photos access is limited or a photo has no location?

Pinlyy can work with the Photos you choose, but discovery can only use that subset. Missing location data can make a suggestion less complete. You can always add a Memory yourself or capture/import a Keepsake manually.

### How are Plan, Visited and Memory different?

Plan is where you intend to go. Visited records a place you actually went. Memory is the meaning you deliberately preserve. Planning never creates a Memory automatically, and marking a place visited does not create one either.

### Which countries appear in the Atlas and Passport?

The Atlas can reflect places represented by the Photos you can access and the Memories you keep. Passport stamps countries with a kept Memory. It cannot promise a complete history when Photos access or location data is missing.

### Can I use Pinlyy to plan a trip?

Yes. Build a city-based plan, save places you want to see, and open a Trip Brief for local time difference, currency and exchange rate, plug type, emergency number, weather certainty and golden hour. Calendar export and Apple Maps place details are separate actions. A plan stays a plan until you confirm what you actually visited or choose a Memory.

### What is the ceramic souvenir?

Pinlyy can make a free cutout souvenir from content you choose to keep. Pro ceramic crafting is an explicit opt-in: you select 1–5 already-owned Memory images or Keepsakes, consent to processing, and OpenAI receives those selected images. Discovery never sends your library automatically.

### Is Pinlyy free?

Pinlyy has a free starting experience, and content you own remains accessible. Pro availability and pricing are shown in the app; they may include continued discovery, more photos per Memory, Atlas themes and ceramic crafting.
